According to the agency, preliminary data indicates that attackers made unauthorized changes to the website’s source code, which resulted in users being redirected to third-party websites.
As a result of the attack, the operation of several pages on the online platform was partially disrupted. Technical specialists promptly began addressing the consequences of the incident: the website was isolated, the suspicious changes were removed, and the functionality of the resources was restored.
However, the page still contains suspicious videos of an indecent nature that are unrelated to the ministry’s activities.
The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation. The Ministry of Education and Research advises users who visited the website during the incident not to interact with suspicious pages or content and to obtain information only through the ministry’s official channels.
