This was reported on the organization’s website.

The IOC has rescinded the recommendations issued to international federations and organizers of international sporting events on February 28, 2022, and March 28, 2023, regarding restrictions on the participation of Russians in such events.

In addition, the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has been temporarily reinstated. This is because the ROC no longer includes sports organizations from the DPR, LPR, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Furthermore, the ROC stated that it does not plan to hold any events in these regions in the future.

It is noted that the IOC will continue to monitor the ROC’s activities in these territories. Should such activities resume, sanctions may be reimposed.

The IOC suspended the ROC on October 12, 2023. This was due to the fact that the Olympic councils of four new regions of Russia were admitted to the ROC at a meeting of the organization’s Executive Board.
