On behalf of the Republic of Moldova, the delegation is led by MP Petru Burduja, a member of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance.
Several meetings are scheduled during the visit, including with the Speaker of the Turkmen Mejlis and representatives of various ministries. The parties are set to discuss the development of inter-parliamentary dialogue and specific areas of bilateral cooperation.
According to Igor Dodon, who is also in Ashgabat, the Moldovan side intends to thank Turkmenistan for the social projects carried out in the Republic of Moldova. These include the ‘Dostluk’ nursery school in the village of Chirsova, Vulcănești district, the construction of which was fully funded by the Government of Turkmenistan.
It is expected that the visit will boost bilateral cooperation and help identify new areas for joint projects.
