Maldivian media report that Jalil is already serving a 32-year prison sentence in connection with the FIFA money-laundering case. According to media reports, he spent part of the money on buying a flat.

Mohamed Agil, the former finance director of the Maldives Football Association, has been banned for 10 years. He has also been fined 100,000 Swiss francs.

In Montserrat, Kassel has been banned for life for the misappropriation of FIFA funds and abuse of office. He was also fined a further 1 million Swiss francs.

The former general secretary of the Montserrat Football Association, Tandik Hughes, has been banned for 15 years. In addition, he must pay a fine of 150,000 Swiss francs. FIFA found him to have been involved in illegal transactions involving the organisation’s funds.
