"September is not a day without reading."

The campaign aims to promote books and reading through the LecturaCentral program. Libraries across the country will host meetings with writers, public readings, interactive activities for all age groups, etc. The objectives of the initiative are to develop interest in reading, capitalize on the national literary heritage and encourage the general public to pursue the pursuit of knowledge.

Contests will be an important element of the campaign. Such as “The most original project/program to promote books and reading” – the contest is dedicated to innovative library initiatives. Or “The Most Active Reader” – held in three age categories (7-14 years, 15-18 years and 19+). The “Original Program for the Promotion of Eminescu’s Works” – for projects based on the poet’s works – and other contests are also planned. Participation in them provides an opportunity for socialization, development and public recognition of reading lovers.
