This convenience is the result of the modernization of the e-arme.mai.gov.md electronic platform. Now, all the necessary documents for the legalization of civilian firearms can be uploaded directly to the online application, which simplifies the process and reduces the time required to submit an application, according to the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP). An electronic signature is required to use the platform. This is a mandatory requirement both for authenticating in the system and for submitting applications securely.
The INSP clarifies that requests submitted electronically are processed within the timeframes established by law, and permits are issued to individuals who meet the conditions set forth by law.
