It is planned to allocate 560 million lei from the state budget for these purposes.
According to the draft, teachers are to receive a one-off payment of 4,000 lei. Staff in the sectors of national defence, public order, healthcare, culture, sport, local public administration and justice will each receive 3,000 lei.
Technical staff, security guards, cooks and other support staff are to receive a payment of 2,000 lei.
Overall, following the adjustment, state budget expenditure for 2026 will increase by 2.77 billion lei, exceeding 103.34 billion lei. State budget revenue is set to rise by 600 million lei to 80.27 billion lei. Consequently, the state budget deficit will rise to almost 23 billion lei.
Finance Minister Victoria Belous noted that, at the same time, transfers to the state social insurance budget will be increased by 1.67 billion lei. Of this amount, 550 million lei will be allocated to pay cash compensation for energy resources.
A further 1 billion lei is earmarked for the National Fund for Regional and Local Development to complete infrastructure projects. The Road Fund will be increased by 300 million lei.
As Finance Minister Victoria Belous noted in Parliament, additional funds will also be allocated to cover the wage costs of staff at state-funded institutions and educational establishments under the authority of local public administration bodies.
At the same time, funding for projects financed from external sources will be reduced.

The draft law will be submitted to Parliament for a second reading. Once finally adopted, the budgetary amendments will come into force on the date of publication in the *Monitorul Oficial*.
