The head of government made this statement ahead of today’s Cabinet meeting. The statement was made in the context of the launch of public consultations on tax policy for 2027.

As a reminder, last week the Ministry of Finance published a draft budget and tax policy for next year. Consequently, comments regarding the ministry’s most radical proposals are already circulating in the media.

In this context, Alexandru Munteanu emphasized that the authorities are ready to take the proposals and recommendations into account as much as possible.

“I have discussed this issue with the ministers of finance, labor, and social protection, as well as with other members of the government,” he noted. “We have already received professional suggestions and will continue the discussion. I urge everyone who wants to contribute to join this process. Criticism is welcome, but it must be constructive. We are ready to incorporate as many suggestions as possible to make this process professional and effective.”

The proposals and recommendations will be reviewed and taken into account during the final drafting of the document.
