According to the minister, the first consequences have already been reflected in the cost of fuel, and agricultural producers have been hit hardest during the spring field work.
“Unfortunately, due to the conflict in the Persian Gulf, we will experience a price increase of at least 10%. At gas stations, of course, it is already noticeable, and unfortunately, it hit farmers hardest during spring work. But we will see price increases on the shelves as well. Again, unfortunately, the Gulf crisis is the reason for all of this. By the end of this year, we expect the price of goods to go up by about 10%,” Osmochescu said on the ZdG podcast.
This is not the first time Eugeniu Osmochescu has talked about a ten percent increase in prices. Earlier on TVR Moldova, he emphasized that the price rise is inevitable.
“I am not talking now about diesel fuel or gasoline, I mean everyday products. Perhaps, services will also increase in price – of course, it is inevitable,” the minister said.
