Nova Post has opened Moldova’s largest logistics center, with a processing capacity of 10,000 packages per hour

The center covers an area of 3,800 square meters and brings together all key logistics processes in one location, from package sorting to customs clearance.

“The new terminal operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides a full range of logistics services, including centralized parcel sorting, customs clearance, sorting for door-to-door delivery, and delivery to post office boxes. For the convenience of customers, Freight Branch No. 25, which handles shipments weighing more than 30 kg, also operates on the center’s premises,” according to a statement from Nova Post.

Currently, the terminal processes an average of 35,000 parcels per day, with a record high of 80,000 shipments in a single day. It handles all types of shipments—documents, parcels, and oversized cargo—for both domestic shipments within Moldova and international shipments.

“In addition, the terminal now houses Moldova’s first Nova Post order fulfillment center. This takes e-commerce in the country to a new level of speed: orders placed before 1 a.m. are delivered nationwide by the next morning. It is symbolic that one of the first customers to use Nova Post’s services was a Ukrainian brand that has entered the Moldovan market and is using Nova Post’s services for its international expansion,” the company’s statement reads.

“Shipping volumes in Moldova continue to grow steadily, and consolidating all operations in one location has allowed us to meet this demand much more efficiently. As a result, we have reduced the average delivery time by two hours. The new terminal has streamlined logistics: intercity routes now operate twice a day, and deliveries to branches are made every 2.5 hours. “We have invested 800,000 euros ($940,000) in the new terminal, and this is an investment in speed and reliability for every customer in Moldova,” said Sergey Shapran, CEO of Nova Post Moldova.

The company announced plans to continue expanding its logistics infrastructure in Moldova, including the launch of a new sorting center in Bălți.
