The project was developed in accordance with the provisions of the new Law on Electronic Communications No. 72/2025 and aims to modernize the .md domain management system, strengthen the Republic of Moldova’s digital identity, and ensure transparent and predictable rules for the registration and use of domain names.

The document establishes the rights and obligations of the parties involved in the management and use of the .md domain, introduces additional mechanisms to prevent the misuse of domain names, and consolidates procedures for resolving disputes related to them.

To ensure transparency in the decision-making process, the draft decision was submitted for public comment from May 19 to June 17, 2026, published on ARCOM’s official website, and submitted to the authorities and stakeholders for approval.

Documents related to these Regulations are available on ARCOM’s official website.
