According to Moldovan Ambassador to the United States Vladislav Culminschi, Moldova is the only country from Eastern Europe and Eurasia that is explicitly and separately mentioned in the text of this law with a specific amount of funding. This decision, he said, reflects “the high level of trust and maturity of security cooperation between Moldova and the United States.”

“The White House and Congress have demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening our capabilities and preventing risks in a complex regional environment,” the ambassador said.

The allocated funds will focus on key national security areas, including energy and cyber security, building the resilience of government institutions, and other related security priorities.

The ambassador said that this support confirms that Moldova’s investments in peace, stability and defense capabilities are recognized and supported by its strategic partners.
