
The project, developed by the Ministry of Culture, offers a rich agenda. The program includes more than 30 events and covers a wide range of fields: from culture and art to education, science and diplomacy. In addition, the National Bank of Moldova will issue a commemorative coin and launch a series of postage stamps.
To ensure the implementation of the program, an interdepartmental working group will be set up, responsible for coordinating and monitoring the observance of deadlines by the relevant authorities.
According to the authors of the project, the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the Republic of Moldova is an event of great importance for strengthening the historical memory, promoting the national identity and mastering the cultural and institutional heritage of the state.
The program is to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Republic of Moldova officially proclaimed its independence on August 27, 1991.
