The sixth annual “Hello, Chisinau!” festival is being organized by municipal authorities to mark the 590th anniversary of the city’s first mention in historical documents.
The event will take place on the Evgheni Doga pedestrian street and will transform the capital’s city center into a space dedicated to music, traditions, culture, and local products. Artists from Moldova and Romania will perform on the festival stage.
The festival opens today, July 17—the day Chisinau celebrates its birthday—with an evening dedicated to folk music.
The following day, July 18, attendees will be able to enjoy well-known hits during an evening of retro music. “Hello, Chisinau!” will conclude on July 19 with an evening of classical music.
The event will also bring together folk artisans and local producers, who will showcase their creations and products. Guests will be able to sample a variety of traditional Moldovan dishes.
The “Hello, Chisinau!” festival has become one of the most beloved cultural events of the summer. Every year, the event attracts more and more guests and participants from the capital, across the country, and from abroad.
Admission to all festival events is free.
