AIPA Session

This week, teams of experts from AIPA and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Industry (MAIA) organized 12 seminars in the northern regions of Moldova, bringing together nearly 600 representatives of local agricultural communities.

During the discussions, participants expressed great interest in the new forms of financial support for the agri-food sector provided under the PSPA program. The most frequently asked questions concerned the competitive selection of investment projects in agricultural production, incentives for farming on irrigated land, support for the modernization of agricultural machinery and equipment, environmental protection initiatives, subsidies for the clearing of old perennial plantations, and direct “per-hectare” subsidies.

The information campaign is an important tool for promoting the new financing opportunities available under the PSPA. Through these measures, the Moldovan authorities aim to increase the efficiency of existing budget funds (approximately 628 million lei earmarked for implementing measures under the aforementioned program in 2026).

Particular attention is being paid to informing and encouraging priority categories of beneficiaries: young farmers, startup founders, and agricultural producers operating on plots of up to 10 hectares.

The information campaign will continue until July 24, 2026.
