As Moldexpo General Director Zinaida Popa stated, 20 companies took part in the bidding. Such interest, according to her, reflects the special attention of business to the development of sports and gastronomic infrastructure on the territory of the center.
In total, the plots of 50 to 1500 square meters were offered for lease. All of them are adjacent to the territory of the former “Aventura Park”. The winners received the right to lease for up to 7 years for the creation of badminton, padel, pickleball, pamp-track and HoReCa points. According to Moldexpo data, the biggest competition was for the padel court site: 10 participants competed for it.
According to the terms and conditions of the contracts, the tenants will not be able to change the purpose of the objects or sublease them. In addition, they are obliged to pay for at least three months of rent within 15 days after signing the final minutes of the auction. They are also responsible for the costs of connecting utility networks.
According to Moldexpo estimates, the total rental income for the next years will amount to about 48 million lei. All the funds will be directed to the development of the exhibition center infrastructure. Additionally, private investors will invest 10 million lei in the improvement and development of the leased territories.
