Due to this probability, the State Hydrometeorological Service of Moldova declared a “yellow code” of waterlogging danger for this period. In the Criva-Costesti section, the river water level is expected to rise by 1.6-3 meters. Low-lying areas of the coastal zone, especially in the districts of Briceni and Edinet, where the river may overflow its banks and flood the floodplain.
Residents of these areas are urged to remain vigilant and follow the development of the situation. Up-to-date data and a map of potentially flooded areas are available on the official website of the Hydrometeorological Service.
