As part of the initiative, the retailers included in the program will be obliged to provide the agency with weekly information on the best offers and prices of basic food products, which will be proactively updated on the information portal, Georgia Online explains.

According to the Agency’s Chairman Irakli Lekvinadze, the purpose of the platform is to inform consumers and more transparently present the existing offers on the market. He believes that the electronic platform will contribute to strengthening the quality of competition in the FMCG sector.
