Donald Trump
Journalists at theblueprint.ru have compiled five little-known facts about him:
— Trump wasn’t always a Republican. In 1999, he joined the Reform Party and planned to run for president, and later switched to the Democratic Party altogether. He didn’t return to the Republicans until 2012.
— The famous phrase “Make America Great Again” actually belongs not to Trump, but to the 40th U.S. President, Ronald Reagan. He used this phrase as a campaign slogan in 1980.
— Donald Trump is the author and co-author of several books. His first book, *The Art of the Deal*, was published in 1987 (though there are rumors that he didn’t write it himself).
— Trump claims he has not drunk alcohol—at least not since 1981, when his older brother Frederick died of a heart attack caused by chronic alcoholism.
— In 2007, Trump received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for organizing the “Miss Universe” beauty pageant and the reality show “The Apprentice.” The star, however, did not last: it was vandalized so often that the Chamber of Commerce is now considering removing it from the Walk of Fame altogether.
