
The event is attended by Customs management and officials, representatives of the CEFTA Secretariat and the Permanent Secretariat of the CCC, Customs administrations of CEFTA Member States, and authorities of CCC Member States. Experts from the Directorate General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) of the European Commission and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) are also involved in the meetings.
According to the Moldovan Customs Service, Radu Vrabie, director of the agency, in his welcoming speech emphasized that in the context of accelerated economic and logistical transformation, tools such as the AEO program, risk management and electronic data interchange are becoming important to ensure legal, safe and efficient trade.
At the same time, Radu Vrabie emphasized that the CEFTA platform provides a functional basis for the development of common mechanisms, including by promoting mutual recognition of AEO programs and strengthening operational cooperation between customs administrations.
The meeting agenda includes plenary and technical sessions dedicated to sharing best practices and operational approaches in AEO and customs risk management, as well as discussions on the digitalization of customs processes and the use of modern technologies in risk analysis.
The event contributes to strengthening regional trade facilitation instruments, including by promoting mutual recognition of AEO programs and the development of effective risk analysis mechanisms within the framework of CEFTA cooperation.
