
Alina Dandara
Alina Dandara holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in financial management and business accounting. She has 10 years’ managerial experience in the public and private sectors, in the economic, financial and administrative fields, the ministry notes.
Between 2023 and 2025, Dandara served as a Member of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and held the post of Secretary of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration. In this role, she contributed to strengthening Moldova’s cooperation with European institutions involved in the country’s EU accession process, as well as to developing engagement with civil society.
From 2025 to 2026, Alina Dandara headed the Cabinet of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation. She was responsible for the strategic planning of the ministry’s activities and those of the Deputy Prime Minister, monitoring the implementation of national economic programmes, and cooperation with donors and international organisations.
In her new role, her experience in economic and financial management, project coordination and the management of complex processes is set to be utilised to develop state policy in the field of tourism, enhance the sector’s competitiveness and promote the Republic of Moldova as a tourist destination.
Previously, the government had decided to remove the tourism sector from the remit of the Ministry of Culture and transfer it to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalisation.
