The equipment is compatible with the ultrasound systems already in use at the facility. The transducers are installed in the operating room and are already being used to perform examinations and medical procedures.
Medical staff have been trained to use the new equipment. The transducers provide clear images of the heart, which helps doctors assess its condition, identify potential problems, and make a diagnosis more quickly.
The investment was funded by the CNAM Fund for the Development and Modernization of Public Healthcare Providers.
The Institute of Cardiology has 270 beds. In 2025, more than 12,600 patients received treatment there.
