It establishes a unified mechanism for managing materials obtained as a result of activities related to the exploration, development, and use of subsoil resources. Their recording and storage will be ensured through the State Subsoil Information Fund, including online.
The document was developed in accordance with the provisions of the new Subsurface Code, which entered into force on May 29, 2026.
Data from the fund will be provided to individuals and legal entities on a fee-for-service basis for use for strictly defined purposes. The rules will be approved by the Environmental Agency, which administers the fund. The cost of the information is specified in an appendix to the regulation.
The data will be available free of charge for educational and research purposes, to individuals performing work related to the use of subsoil resources at the expense of the state budget, as well as to individuals who financed the acquisition of subsoil information or requested information on subsoil plots granted to them on a contractual basis.
The new mechanism will ensure the traceability and completeness of geological data collection, simplify data retrieval, and reduce the risk of losing materials from the State Subsurface Information Fund.
