During a thorough inspection, 10 watches bearing the Rolex luxury brand logo were discovered in one of the unaccompanied gearboxes, along with their boxes and packaging, concealed among clothing items and transported without documents confirming their legal origin and/or customs clearance.
The price of genuine Rolex watches ranges from $5,200 to hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on the model and materials.
The driver, a 35-year-old Moldovan citizen, has so far become the main suspect in this case.
The goods were seized; their value must be accurately determined, and an investigation is underway to bring those responsible to criminal justice in accordance with the law.
