On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote:

“Gas station owners must lower prices immediately! They’re too high, considering that oil is currently trading at $68 per barrel.”

According to the White House chief, “gas stations must respond quickly to this statement.”

“There will be no artificial price gouging—that is completely illegal. If gas stations don’t do this, there will be big problems,” Trump emphasized, referring to lowering prices.

He added that gasoline in the U.S. should cost about $2.50 (44.17 Moldovan lei) per gallon (3.785 liters) or 11.67 lei per liter. The U.S. leader also noted that California state authorities should lower fuel taxes.
