The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has published the prices for gasoline and diesel fuel that will take effect tomorrow, August 12.
Gasoline will increase by two bani, to 29.97 lei. Diesel fuel will remain at today’s price.
However, this will not last long, and it is possible that starting tomorrow—after falling for exactly one week—prices will begin to rise again.
Today, oil prices are rising on the global market: the price of Brent crude climbed to $89.99–90.02 per barrel and, at the time of writing, is trading at $89.73, which is 2.5% higher than yesterday.
This is the market’s reaction to ongoing tensions and the risk of supply disruptions along key transportation routes in the Middle East.
