This was reported by the Belarusian website Tochka.by, citing the Telegram channel “Pool of the First.”
“I told them straight out: ‘Guys, tell your president: if he thinks he can talk to us like this and even drag us into a war, he needs to understand that the nature of the war will change instantly. This war will be completely different,’” Lukashenko said.
As a reminder, the incident was triggered by an address by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on June 19. In it, he stated that there are relay stations located in Belarus on the border with Ukraine that help coordinate Russian strikes against Ukraine, and he called for the removal of this equipment.
Zelenskyy added that he is prepared to attack the devices if the Belarusian side does not do so itself.
In this regard, Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus should not be dragged into the war. “Russia’s deception will strike Belarus first and foremost. We are on the front lines of our Fatherland; we understand this perfectly well,” Lukashenko added.
As a reminder, Alexander Lukashenko is meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin today. One of the topics of discussion will be Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s ultimatum to Belarus.
Earlier, some media outlets reported that the repeaters had ceased operations as of June 22.
