WIPO to Hold a Session on Women in Sports and Intellectual Property

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is organizing the eighth session of its “Sharing Session on Women and IP” series, titled “Closing the Gender Gap in IP: Women in Sports and IP.”

The State Agency for Intellectual Property of Moldova invites interested parties to participate in this session. The event will take place on June 30, 2026, online via Zoom as part of the activities of the WIPO Standing Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP).

During the meeting, participants will discuss the experiences of women professionals in the sports sector and the role of intellectual property in the development of their career projects. In particular, the discussion will focus on how intellectual property rights can support innovation, entrepreneurship, the development of sports brands, and the commercialization of ideas.

The program includes presentations by experts from Kenya, the United Kingdom, China, and Brazil, as well as a panel discussion and a Q&A session.

The working language of the event is English, with interpretation into French and Spanish provided.
