According to industry research, early bookings for the 2026 summer season have increased by approximately 14–15% compared to last year. The largest increase is observed for the June–August period.
As noted by Greek Trip Planner, in the first quarter of 2026, revenue from international tourism rose by 64.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching €1.68 billion.
Tour operators report that rising prices are one of the main factors driving competition in the Mediterranean tourism market. Published industry reviews indicate that Greece remains one of the most expensive destinations for a number of European markets, including Germany.
