During the 2026 Civil Society Gala Concert, Igor Grosu emphasized that our country deserves recognition for its efforts.
“We sense and are receiving signals that we are on the verge of an announcement that is important for the Republic of Moldova. An announcement that we have earned, because just as you deserve gratitude and recognition for your work, we, as a country and as a society, deserve to receive from the European family—in addition to positive assessments in annual reports—a well-deserved political decision to open negotiations. “To start with—on the first cluster—but it is important that there be no long pause after that and that we move on to the other important clusters,” the official stated.

According to her, this effectively means opening the door to the next stage of the accession process—the official start of negotiations.
