Since the beginning of the current year, the Customs Service has collected about 17.6 billion lei to the state budget, 103.0% more than the benchmark.
At the same time, in the period from June 1 to June 7, 2026, individuals imported goods whose value at customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, collecting about 21 million lei, which is 2.8% of the total amount collected in the corresponding period.
Customs explains that the funds collected from taxpayers go directly to the state budget and are redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.
In addition, during the reporting period, 10,444 customs declarations were issued and the flow of vehicles amounted to 77,161 border crossings. The most demanded transit customs points remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 16,546 and 13,990 border crossings, respectively.
