The government approved the signing of a grant agreement between the Republic of Moldova, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association for additional financing of the project on enhancing the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises.

The register will be managed by the Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the World Bank’s Project Implementation Unit.

Natalia Selevestru, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, said the new registry will provide a “unified, public and reliable mechanism for recording movable property pledges.”

“It will contribute to improving the legal security of transactions, reducing credit risks, facilitating access to finance for SMEs and individuals, and improving the efficiency of financial institutions,” Selevestru said.
