This was reported by Delo.ua with reference to the message of the State service of Ukraine on food safety.

The agreements were reached during a working meeting between the chairman of the State Food Consumer Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Tkachuk, and the director-general of the National Agency for Food Safety of Moldova (ANSA), Radu Mustiatse, which took place in Vinnytsia Region on 13 May.

The key result of the talks was the agreement of new international certificates for Ukrainian producers.

In particular, Ukraine was given the opportunity to export live snails and snail caviar to Moldova, as well as meat products, including melted animal fats, cracklings, meat extracts and other poultry meat products.

Earlier it was reported that in addition to the above, the parties updated and re-signed three more certificates in accordance with the current requirements of the Moldovan side. This will allow Ukrainian producers to continue to freely supply plant-based animal feed, semi-finished poultry meat and fresh poultry meat for human consumption to Moldova.

According to Tkachuk, the signed documents should remove some of the barriers to bilateral trade and create more predictable conditions for business.

The meeting participants also agreed to further expand cooperation in veterinary medicine, food safety and international trade.

The Ukrainian side expects new certificates that will help expand the geography of exports and create additional opportunities for Ukrainian producers on the Moldovan market.
