In its Telegram channel, the agency said that a large-scale forest fire is now being extinguished in the exclusion zone. The fire is spreading rapidly due to strong wind gusts. The situation is also complicated by dry weather. In some areas it is impossible to extinguish the fire because of the threat of explosive objects.

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine, the radiation situation on the territory of Ukraine remains stable. This also applies to the north of Kiev Region, where the Chernobyl exclusion zone is located. The service noted that the level of gamma radiation was within the normal range throughout the country.
