“Our total investment amounted to more than €3 million and was aimed at increasing production capacity, improving efficiency and reducing environmental impact. In particular, the company invested €2.1 million in a new PET filling and labeling line from Krones. This has increased capacity by 15% to 12,000 bottles per hour, ensuring consistently high product quality. 450 thousand euros were invested in the expansion of the KEG line, thus increasing the plant’s capacity from 120 to 180 kegs per hour. In addition, a modern Swiss production filter worth about 565 thousand euros was installed, which optimizes the filtration process and reduces the burden on the environment”.
Alpan Akpece noted that Efes Moldova annually launches new products on the market, adapted to the local demand. It is also the largest taxpayer: in 2025 alone, the company transferred about $33 million to the state budget in the form of taxes and excise duties.
“Over the past five years, we have managed to achieve concrete results in the field of environmental protection. Greenhouse gas emissions at the company have been reduced from 11.56 kg to 9.91 kg of CO₂ equivalent per hectoliter. For these achievements the company was awarded 3 Green Awards,” he emphasized.
In addition, within the Prietenește social responsibility program, the company annually invests about 1.5 million lei in projects to support tourism, women’s entrepreneurship and local culture. Efes is also actively involved in the development of a pledge system for packaging (SDA), which is an important step for the creation of a closed-loop economy in Moldova.

It should be noted that the Chisinau brewery employs more than 360 people. The company is part of the international Efes Beverage Group, the largest structure in Europe, which produces beer, malt and soft drinks for the markets of Turkey, CIS countries and South-Eastern Europe. The plant was acquired in 2003 by Turkish holding Anadolu Efes for $12 mln. During all the years of work in Moldova, Turkish investors have invested about $200 mln in the development of the enterprise.
