Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii recently paid a visit to Vilnius, where he held a series of meetings with representatives of Lithuanian authorities and defense sector, including his Lithuanian counterpart Robertas Kaunas.

The ministers reviewed the key achievements in the military cooperation between Moldova and Lithuania, focusing on the provision of assistance and expert support in a number of fields. In this context, Nosatii praised the Lithuanian side’s contribution to the development of the National Army’s sergeant corps, training of the personnel, as well as the provision of modern equipment.

The sides agreed to deepen the dialogue through new modernization initiatives and exchange of best practices in cyber security and countering information manipulation.

In Vilnius, Anatolije Nosatii also met with representatives of Parliament and the Foreign Ministry, visited the headquarters of the Air Force and the Colonel Juozas Vitkus Engineering Battalion, as well as the Unmanned Systems Operators Training Center and the Drone Operators Training School.

The visit also included an exchange of views with members of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union, the Chief of the Lithuanian Defense General Staff, Rear Admiral Giedrius Premieneckas, as well as representatives of the Air Force, the Juozas Vitkus Engineer Battalion, the Armed Forces School “Division General Stasys Rashtikis” and the Drone Operator Training Center in Kaunas.
