IFAD

This IFAD financial fund can be used to support a wide range of profit-oriented agricultural and related activities. In particular, UCIP considers these activities to include the production of fruits, berries, vegetables, medicinal and essential oil plants, seeds, seedlings, field crops and table grapes.

In addition, IFAD financing can be provided to projects of the mentioned category of beneficiaries in the livestock sector, as well as for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment. UCIP staff emphasize that the financing can be used to improve the energy efficiency of agribusinesses, i.e. to finance the purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, biogas equipment and heating systems based on “green energy”.
