The Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) celebrates its 65th anniversary this year, while the Romanian Academy celebrates its 160th anniversary. In honor of the anniversaries, ASM will focus on supporting young researchers and strengthening cooperation with Romania.
Among the priorities for this year are summer schools and mentoring programs for young scientists with leading international experts, as well as the continuation of projects in the field of artificial intelligence and new technologies.
It is planned to intensify cooperation with IAP (International Science Council / InterAcademy Partnership) and ALLEA (All European Academies), which promote joint research, exchange of experience and development of global scientific standards.
Special attention will be paid to cooperation with the Romanian Academy: protection of the Romanian language, culture and identity, implementation of joint projects and organization of scientific and cultural events.
“Our goal is to develop joint projects, support young researchers and promote Romanian culture and language on both sides of the Prut,” emphasized Ion Tighineanu, President of AMN.
