
Compared to the same period of the previous year, revenues increased by 867 million lei, or by 11.6%. Health insurance contributions as a percentage of salaries accounted for the largest part of revenues. They amounted to 5.4 billion lei, which is about 656 million lei more than in the same period last year.
The amount transferred for the provided medical services in the first seven months of the current year is by more than 800 million lei more than last year’s transfers for this period. Only in the first six months of the current year, more than 91 million lei were transferred from the mandatory health insurance funds for expensive consumables used in complex surgical interventions to restore the functions of various organs and limbs.
Fixed contributions for compulsory health insurance amounted to more than 335 million lei, while other receipts to insurance medicine funds, including insurance premiums paid by residents of information technology parks, amounted to about 165 million lei, up by 34 million lei compared to the amount recorded in the period from January to July 2024. In the first seven months of this year, transfers from the state budget amounted to 2.4 billion lei.
The budget of the compulsory health insurance funds for 2025 is expected to increase by 13 per cent in terms of revenues and expenditures, amounting to more than 17 billion lei.
