Money for the pool

The Education and Enlightenment Ministry will allocate 10 million lei for the restoration of the swimming pool of the State University of Physical Education and Sport.

According to the department, the works have already started. Water supply, water treatment and lighting systems, sewage networks will be modernized at the facility.

It is planned to renovate all auxiliary rooms, locker rooms, heating systems and power supply. The adjacent territories will also be landscaped. Judging by the announcement on the entrance door of the pool, the facility will be closed to the public until May this year.

– The repairs, which have been expected for a long time, have begun. University students will have the opportunity to study in modern conditions that meet high standards,” said Sergiu Gurin, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Enlightenment.

The funds are allocated from the funds aimed at modernizing the infrastructure of higher education institutions.

The swimming pool of the State University of Physical Culture and Sport is located behind the government building in the center of Chisinau. Its length is 25 meters. Before the renovation works, it was used by ordinary citizens in addition to students.
