Work to improve energy efficiency will begin at the Diomid German Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery

Building No. 2 of the Diomid German Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in Chisinau, Moldova, will undergo an energy-efficiency renovation as part of a project funded by the European Union, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), according to the EU Delegation to Moldova.

A contract worth approximately 2 million euros has been signed with the joint venture QUANTIS ECO S.R.L., a company from the Republic of Moldova, and SC Antramicons S.R.L., a company from Romania.

The work will include a comprehensive package of measures to improve energy efficiency, including thermal insulation of the building, modernization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as the modernization of indoor and outdoor lighting systems.

These measures are expected to reduce energy consumption and operating costs, improve indoor comfort and the overall functionality of the buildings, and enhance the institution’s energy efficiency in accordance with European energy efficiency standards.
