The Moldovan government has announced that a new round of grant applications under the Casa Verde program will begin this fall.
The program helps improve the energy efficiency of private homes. It is administered by the National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED). The grant covers up to 50% of the investment cost, but no more than 200,000 lei.
The grant application process consists of two stages:
Evaluation—the application is submitted on the feerm.md website. Once approved, applicants must hire a qualified specialist to prepare a technical report.
Work – Based on the report, you can select the necessary measures: insulating the roof and walls, replacing windows and doors, and installing solar panels with batteries or heat pumps.
Important:
– Applications are processed on a “first-come, first-served” basis;
– Solar panels and heat pumps are eligible for funding if the home has already been insulated or is in the process of being insulated;
– The homeowner pays for the work upfront, and upon completion, CNED reimburses up to 50% of the cost through a grant.
Under the Casa Verde (“Green Home”) in Moldova, funding was allocated in the second phase in March 2026 for approximately 1,000 households, with a total budget of 200 million lei, whereas in the first phase (launched in July 2025), 745 applications were submitted and 525 grants were approved.
