USMF Rector Emil Cheban met with Victoria Danford, founder of MAD-Aid and the Phoenix Complex. The parties discussed potential inter-institutional cooperation and the drafting of a memorandum that could serve as the basis for implementing joint projects.
During the meeting, they discussed issues related to recruiting and professional development of medical personnel, as well as the training of students, doctors, and hospital administrators.
Other areas of potential cooperation included infrastructure modernization, accelerating digital transformation, and integrating artificial intelligence tools into the educational process.
They also discussed the possibility of attracting foreign investment and mobilizing donor support for strategic university development projects.
The meeting participants explored the possibility of adapting international best practices to the Moldovan context, including specific development models used in the United Arab Emirates and Singapore.
The parties’ future plans include signing a memorandum of cooperation, which is intended to establish a framework for implementing potential joint projects.
