The project will be located on a 40.7-hectare site and will increase electricity generation from renewable sources, as well as strengthen the country’s energy security.

The energy storage system, scheduled to launch in 2027, will be able to supply electricity at full capacity for approximately two hours. This will help integrate renewable energy more effectively and improve the resilience of Moldova’s power grid.

Currently, there are several thousand solar power plants and residential photovoltaic systems in Moldova. Their total installed capacity has exceeded 786 MW (which accounts for about 74% of the country’s total green energy capacity).
