The Public Property Agency is launching the “35 Companies in 35 Days” campaign, which will highlight, over the coming weeks, the history and contributions of 35 state-owned enterprises that have played a role throughout the 35 years of independence. The launch of the initiative coincides with the anniversary of the country’s founding and is intended to highlight the success stories of key market players.
The focus is on enterprises that, over the course of three and a half decades, have sustained critical infrastructure, supplied energy resources, and developed telecommunications—all of which are essential to the country’s existence.
“Over the years, state-owned enterprises have played an important role in the development of the Republic of Moldova. Some of them have fulfilled their mission over time, while others have evolved and adapted to new realities, but their contribution to nation-building remains undeniable,” according to an official statement.
The campaign launched on August 2, 2026, with a post about the oldest winery, S.A. “Aroma.” The full list is being revealed gradually (one brand per day), but the core of this “golden list” consists of the country’s largest state-owned and joint-stock companies.

- S.A. “Moldovagaz”—the country’s largest supplier and distributor of natural gas.
- S.A. “Energocom” — the central supplier of electricity and energy resources.
- S.A. “Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord” (FEE Nord) — a key electricity supplier in the northern regions.
- S.A. “RED Nord” operates the electricity distribution networks in northern Moldova.
- S.A. “Termoelectrica” is the main producer and supplier of heat and electricity in Chișinău.
- Î.S. “Nodul Hidroenergetic Costești” is an important strategic hydropower hub.
Transportation and Infrastructure
- Î.S. “Aeroportul Internațional Chișinău”—the capital’s international airport, which has returned to state control.
- Î.S. “MoldATSA” is a state-owned enterprise responsible for airspace management and air traffic control.
- State-Owned Enterprise “Calea Ferată din Moldova” (CFM)—the Moldovan Railway.
- Î.S. “Portul Fluvial Ungheni”—a river port on the Prut River.
Telecommunications and Services
- S.A. “Moldtelecom”—the national telecommunications and digital services operator.

- S.A. “Aroma”—the oldest producer of divin (cognacs), founded as far back as 1898 (the first participant in the marathon).
