The program was organized by the Agency for Intellectual Property (AGEPI) with support from the EU4IP project.
The study visit took place on July 15–16 and served as a new component of the “Intellectual Property and Sports: A Launchpad for Innovation” competition. Participants learned about the EUIPO’s activities, its structure, and the mechanisms for protecting intellectual property rights in EU countries.
The program included meetings with experts from the European agency, interactive sessions on intellectual property protection, and a tour of EUIPO’s headquarters.
Focus on Innovation and Youth Development
According to AGEPI, the study visit has been included in the competition program for the first time and is intended to expand training opportunities for the winners, as well as to strengthen the European dimension of the project.
The intellectual property competition for young people is organized by AGEPI in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research, the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM), and the Romanian Copyright Office (ORDA). In 2026, the competition is organized with the support of the EU4IP project, funded by the European Union and implemented by EUIPO.
