Slusari is stepping down from his position as a member of Energocom’s board of directors

Alexandru Slusari, director of the Forța Fermierilor Association, announced on his Facebook page that he was resigning from his position as a member of Energocom’s board of directors. According to him, he will submit his resignation in protest of the company’s decision to ask ANRE to raise the natural gas tariff.

Alexandru Slusari Slusari cited a gross violation of the principles of transparency—which he himself had adhered to throughout his three years on the company’s board—as the main reason for his resignation.

Alexandru Slusari claims that the issue of raising the tariff was not discussed at the board meeting, and that he only learned of the application after it was published. He considers this decision premature and insufficiently justified from an economic standpoint, especially given the high volatility of prices on the international gas market. It could also negatively impact the company’s reputation.

In a comment to Logos Press, Alexandru Slusari noted that his resignation has no connection to the series of “salary scandals” that have sparked keen public interest.

He had previously disclosed his salary on Energocom’s board of directors, which is significantly lower than, for example, the salary of the well-known advisor to the Ministry of Culture.
