
The Ukrainian president arrived in Germany on Tuesday, Euronews reported with “breaking news”. German-Ukrainian government consultations are scheduled for that day in Berlin. No information about the topics of discussion has been provided yet.
Earlier on Monday, Zelensky said at a Ukrainian arms fair that in the coming days he intends to negotiate with European heads of state and government on the development of a joint air defense system.
“I am confident that Ukraine will become a central component of the European security system,” the Ukrainian president said. – The alternative is obvious: some European countries otherwise risk becoming part of Russia’s sphere of influence.”
Today, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius will receive his Ukrainian counterpart Mikhail Fedorov. On Wednesday, April 15, they will also be joined by British Defense Minister John Healey and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Germany and the UK co-led the Contact Group on Ukraine in April 2025, with the remaining representatives participating digitally.
