A special event for interested specialists will be held on April 23, 2026 to discuss the initiative to establish a wood committee. The meeting will discuss the European experience of organizing technical committees in the field of wood and furniture production, as well as the concept of the future Technical Committee “Wood and Wood Products”, its tasks, areas of work and the structure of working groups.
Special attention will be paid to practical interaction between governmental structures, business, scientific and academic organizations.
The organizers invite all interested participants to join the process of forming the new committee.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, last year wood processing fell by 2.7% and furniture by 0.3%, while furniture prices rose by 2.8%.
