The first drone was detected at 10.33, in the vicinity of the village of Palanca. It entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova from the direction of the village of Maiaki, Ukraine, advanced approximately 500 metres into the national territory, and at 10.34 returned to Ukrainian airspace.
At 11.09, a second drone entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova from the direction of Ukraine, near the village of Cioburciu. It travelled towards the town of Pervomaisc in the Transnistrian region, and at 11.19 it left the airspace of the Republic of Moldova near the Ukrainian town of Cuciurgan, continuing its journey towards Stepove.
The crossing of the Republic of Moldova’s airspace by both drones was confirmed by the border authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. National institutions are continuing to monitor the airspace in coordination with external partners.
